William A. Milligan

William A. Milligan specializes in fundraising and event planning for political candidates at the federal and state levels, as well as national political organizations and private clients. 

Will was responsible for the planning and management of 2 high profile events on Inauguration Day 2009. The Creative Coalition Brunch, co-hosted with the BGR Group, saw a crowd of over 600 joined by a star studded guest list including Sting, Susan Sarandon, Anne Hathaway, Tim Daly and Matthew Modine. Will supervised a creative team of vendors and high profile corporate sponsors. The “Blue Ball” was a black tie celebration of the 44th Presidential Inauguration.

Throughout 2009, Will continued to aggressively raise funds for Members of Congress. Current clients include Congressman Mike Rogers (AL-3) and Congressman Jimmy Duncan (TN-2).

Corporate clients include The BGR Group, a lobby and law firm, ACON Investments and Blue Line Strategic Communications. Past corporate clients include the Air Charity Network, JohnsonDiversey, Southern Company and the Cellular Telephone Industry Association (CTIA).

During the 2004 elections, Will built upon a successful record with victories at the state and federal level for Governor Mitch Daniels (IN), Freshman Congressman Mike Rogers (AL-3), Congressman Walter Jones (NC-3) and Congressman Jimmy Duncan (TN-2). In addition, Will co-produced the “My South Celebration” during the 2004 Republican National Convention in New York City. The event was a celebration of southern food, art and music and was attended by over 800 guests and covered by a dozen media outlets.

During the 2002 mid-term elections, Will’s victories included Governor Bob Riley (AL), Congressman Mike Ferguson (NJ-7) and then candidate Mike Rogers (AL-3). Previously, Will served as Deputy Executive Director of the Republican National Committee’s (RNC) 2001 Presidential Gala. In this capacity, he assisted with the overall planning and execution of a highly successful Gala honoring President and Mrs. Bush that raised over $23 million.

Will also worked on the 54th Presidential Inaugural Committee (PIC). He served in the Entertainment Industry Outreach Office, assisting with music, film and television artist recruitment for PIC sanctioned events. 

Will served as Finance Director for the Ferguson for Congress campaign in New Jersey in 2000. He was responsible for planning and executing the entire campaign fundraising plan, which surpassed the projected finance goal and raised $2.3 million for a successful, high-profile, open-seat U.S. Congressional race. 

From 1994 through 1999, Will was Director of Events and Office Manager for the Washington, D.C.-based lobby and law firm of Barbour Griffith & Rogers. In this capacity, he planned and managed all on-site events and fundraisers for U.S. House and Senate Members and candidates. Will also coordinated the firm’s participation in regional conferences with the National Governor’s Association and Republican Governor's Association. 

Will began his career with the Republican National Committee as the Director of Scheduling and Advance for the Co-Chairman. Prior to the RNC, he worked for Public Opinion Strategies in Alexandria, VA and in the White House in the First Lady’s Correspondence Office. Will graduated from Mt. Saint Mary’s College in Emmitsburg, MD with a B.A. in Political Science.  Originally from Summit, NJ, he currently resides in Washington, D.C.
